Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

What affiliate links are

Some links on Rest Science are affiliate links. That means if you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission — typically a percentage of the sale or a flat fee per order. It costs you nothing extra: the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the store directly.

How we use them

We participate in affiliate programs including mattress and bedding brand programs (via networks such as Impact.com, CJ Affiliate, and ShareASale) and Amazon Associates, covering sleep gear like mattresses, pillows, blackout curtains, white noise machines, sunrise alarm clocks, sleep masks, and wearables. Affiliate links appear in articles where products are genuinely relevant to the topic.

Our editorial rule is simple and non-negotiable: commissions never change our verdicts. If a product has a real flaw, we say so — including explicit "who should skip it" guidance — even when that product pays us. Trust is the business model; a commission is not worth a reader's ruined night.

Display advertising

Rest Science may display advertising from ad networks (such as Mediavine Journey) on some or all pages. Advertisers pay for placement; they do not influence our content, our product verdicts, or our editorial decisions. Sponsored content, if we ever publish any, will be clearly labeled as sponsored.

Digital products

We may sell our own digital products (such as sleep planners and checklists). Those are sold directly by us — no affiliate relationship involved — and are covered by whatever refund terms are stated at purchase.

Not medical advice

Everything on this site covers the optimization of healthy sleep. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you snore loudly, gasp or pause breathing during sleep, have persistent insomnia, or experience excessive daytime sleepiness, see a sleep physician.
